My name is Terri Mudge. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and have been counseling for the past 19 years. I currently work at "The Carpenter's House, where I help individuals and couples examine their lives and help them enrich their lives and repair relationships as needed. My practice is focused on assisting clients in finding the keys to unlocking a more meaningful and fulfilling life. Living life "on purpose", means taking an active role in examining your hopes and dreams. It means looking out for the barriers that get in your way, and learning skills to cope with these barriers. I utilize a form of therapy called "ACT" Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. This therapy has been tested and proven successful in helping people to live more productive and fulfilling lives. It introduces clients to new ways of thinking about how they deal with distressing thoughts and life events, in an effort to help them become more aware of the present moment without judgment or worry about the past or future.
